Neoca Leon is the upcoming member of the family, it will feature a microcontrolled & regulated core that will function with an array of power sources, ranging from standard cr123a to the more specialized Pila Batteries (Protected 123, 150a/s & 168 a/s) and also it will be able to run on unprotected Li-Ions like the 18650, due to the included low voltage detection circuit.

It will feature multi brightness settings like the most advanced flashlights in the market, at a price not seen to date.

One great advantage of the Neoca Leon is that it will be user programmable, so when new firmwares are available, these will be updated by the user without the need of sending the light to a service center.

León Untroib was my grandfather, he was a great artist. This is my humble tribute to him

Also, Leon is somewhat pronounced like Li-Ion, so you start getting the idea.


NEOCA LEON is an PIC microcontrolled flashlight.


What does this mean?

it means:

1 - user can use the flashlight with the included firmware

2 - user can remove the PIC microcontroller and load new firmware into it.

3 - since the circuit will be known, and the source code will be available, users with knowledge can modify the way it works.

4 - advanced users may create software and give/sell the pre-programmed chips (example: Neoca Leon emulating an ARC4, LH, HDS, etc)

5 - I will provide a low cost PIC programmer for all the interested people.


Neoca Leon will use rechargeable batteries, my first intention is to use Pila batteries, but different body extenders may also be available in the future.
